Can you cheat tour striker

I have incorporated parts of the protocol move into my pre-shot routine and I have seen a huge difference immediately. Long Shot said:. I've watched tons of planemate videos on youtube quietly waiting for mine to be shipped. I've noticed that only about half of the people are following the protocols, and it shows in their practice. Even a few reviewers, you can tell they never went through them either, and some like the "be better golf" guy gives it a bad review, and you can tell right away he never listened, and certainly never tried the protocols, he just wrote off the aid with his preconceptions about it.

I think this could be a game changer if you follow the instructions protocols , or could be a dust collector if you don't. Really can't wait for mine to be shipped I have been working with the planemate for about a week. Like many I had mine on order for a several weeks before receiving it, but had an opportunity to have a lesson with a pro I became friendly with him through his youtube channel who uses it in his teaching while down in Florida 2 weeks ago incidentally the PM was waiting for me when I got home from vacation.

The pro went through some of the protocals with me, and we talked about what I needed to do to improve my swing he actually made a video of the V1 lesson we did. He does a nice job on his channel going over all the protocals he does many of the same thing as Martin Chuck does on his videos, but also does some good fitness and Mevo plus reviews. My V1 lesson video with him is also on this channel. As far as getting better with the PM.

It really takes an effort to educate yourself in what the Martin Chuck swing model is, and watch the protocol videos several times, and each time you will pick up something you may of forgotten, or pick up something that they tell you to watch out for and the other videos on his channel Tour Striker.

I also think there is value in videoing your sessions with the PM so you can make sure you are hitting the positions that they want you in during the protocol DTL and Face-on. This is definitely not a quick fix device, it is an involved process.

That's like any training aid, unless you embrace it and stick to it old habits will come back. Most get bored because its not instant results. Its not a magic device that instantly has you shooting par. You have to work at it lol Not saying that what you are implying, but in general.

I agree, and this aid takes some real change if you are like me and have an over the top swing. If you commit and give this real time doing the protocols it will pay off but the swing pattern is so different from what I have been doing. Thanks for posting Long Shot. Really looking forward to using mine.

Some other reviewers non-THP folk were disappointed that the rail was plastic instead of metal. The hard plastic looks like it will withstand a lot of abuse. VictorValiant Active member. Hopefully it comes sooner than June, but excited to watch some more of these videos and work on my plane. I wish I never saw him do that..

Still love Martin chucks stuff He did this with my pro and x model. Again, he is a talented player.. Even worked off of the lie board. That flange at the bottom actually made it easier to hit shots hitting fat. Loved it, couldn't do this with regular clubs it would dig into the turf. But the striker, worked like a charm.. I could throw and hit it fat all day long with this.

Just using the pre made bounce and open face at impact. I couldn't hit it. Can't you tell when you do it? So when you hit it fat, then you know it was a bad shot.. Doesn't matter if the ball flew or not. It would than bounce up into the ball. Almost like this aid was a great product.. You can bounce into the shot with this. When I saw him do it.. I was like But once he showed me, I could do it to He just told me to open the face right before impact..

I was truly truly bummed.. I can show you how to put the ball in the cup on every hole without taking a single shot.. Would you stop playing golf because know you know how to do it by cheating? If you know how to cheat with the club, just try to hit the ball without cheating.. I couldn't go back.. I would just go back to bottom out early..

I don't know why, but I couldn't go back. Felt like I hit a bunker shot using this club.. I would hit that 7 iron sometimes doing this I wish he didnt show us how to trick it But made me really want to fat all of my swings.. Stopped immediately. I started to groove a early fat hit,,. Make sure you don't hit it.. If you still really want to hit the towel, then there's no helping you.

Good tip. Sounds like to me if you try to make a reasonable swing with the Tour Striker it can serve you well. Other people on this thread have reported hitting the ball a little fat when they first get the tour striker down.

From what I can tell once they fix the low point their ball striking does improve. You can't get over that you hit it fat and it works? Very simple, don't hit it fat. If you must, put a small towel behind the ball, and don't hit the towel. I guarantee you, you will have a pretty good impact. Why buy a training aid, then try to find ways to cheat it?

I hope this doesn't sound harsh, because it wasn't meant that way. Not sure what happened to my swing, it was there.. G Max The tour strikers are awesome. Almost any training aid can be found to have faults. You might be able to catch it fat and get the ball up, but I doubt you'll see that nice, tight flight from a well struck shot.

Before getting the Tour Striker I could never take a divot, all I ever did was sweep the ball off the ground. I watched the training videos a few different times and followed the lessons as closley as possible. In a relatively short time I was hitting down on the ball and taking proper divots.

One of the things this brought to light for me is that my new modern clubs are so good that they have been helping a really poor swing and thus I didn't have to be as precise when practicing to get what appeared to be a decent hit. With the Tour Striker you are only rewarded with nice distance and loft when you make a good and proper swing. He took my striker pro..

Debunked And than he filmed.. And I even brought my lie board.. I bought 3 of them I was so,excited.. Great idea though.. The fact that your local pro could "flip" at it and get them in the air simply tells me that his hands were in good enough position to make the club work. Can you chunk it and get it air born? When someone can't hit the ground, due to laying the sod over the ball and fear, the TS allows a person to hit the ground with forward lean.

With a bit of practice, the low point control gets better to where you won't be chunking it and getting results. Then the grinding begins!! An angle grinder works best. It's kinda fun if you have a time;. It comes with a short DVD. Also, I'm happy to help if you have any follow up questions. It will ship concurrently when the infomercial begins to air toward the end of March.

I think you guys will like it. On that note; here's a little story about the development of the Tour Striker. I really struggled with the idea of having something be "easier. Immediately after that we came out with the "Pro" version. The "Pro" version is the club that will really challenge golfers and the one I hope everyone buys. You see, I don't want people being able to cheat impact alignments, but I don't want people to absolutely hate the challenge and quit either.

It's worth the effort. Cheers, Martin. You may be hitting shots off lies which are too fluffy? Five in a row is good going. PM me, send me a video. Let me take a look. Perhaps I can help your action. While not so much anymore, there have been a lot of GREAT players that have played with an educated flip.

My old friend George Archer, to name one. Sincere thanks for your support. Cheers, Martin [b]Wish I had known this sooner What a great training club!!! I just wish I had gotten the Pro version Hello Martin, I am in the process of trying to decide which of the Tour Striker models to buy, is there an additional model being added later this month or will it still be either the TS or the TS Pro?

I am obviously leaning towards the the Pro model after reading your post, but after checking your website, it appears to be on backorder. Any idea how long it will take, before they are being shipped? I originally wanted just the TS, because an 8 iron has been one of my favorite clubs to practice with, can you provide any more info. I am looking forward to using your training aid, it seems that to be almost foolproof in it's design. Thank you for your time. This looks like a good training device but one question.

For someone fighting an already steep downswing, is this a good choice? Seems like it might encourage a steep downswing. I tend to be a little steep and get the hands higher at impact than at address to compensate. I am working on shallowing out the downswing.

I'm a terrible ball striker and consistently hit waaay behind the ball. I think it's been a good investment so far.
 More sharing options Replies 2. Top Posters In This Topic 65 46 Thinking about getting one myself. Which one did you get anyway?
